This was the first Metallica concert in Melbourne in over 12 years.
Our first gig in Melbourne was on May 4, 1989 at Festival Hall.
The last time we played in Melbourne was on March 1, 2013, at Flemington Racecourse for the Soundwave Festival.
Since we’ve released two studio album since our last visit to Australia, it’s pretty obvious that both “Moth Into Flame” and “Lux Æterna” were performed in Melbourne for the first time.
