This was the first Metallica concert in Australia in over 12 years.
Our first gig in Perth was on April 7, 1993 at the Entertainment Centre.
The last time we played in Perth was on March 4, 2013, at Claremont Showgrounds for the Soundwave Festival.
This was the first time that we played “Holier Than Thou” in Perth.
This was the first time in over 27 years that we played “Wherever I May Roam” in Perth.
Since we’ve released two studio album since our last visit to Australia, it’s pretty obvious that both “Moth Into Flame” and “Lux Æterna” were performed in Perth for the first time.
