This was the 32nd time Metallica played a show in the Chicago metropolitan area.
This was the second of two shows during Metallica’s No Repeat Weekend in Chicago.
This was the first time in 27 years that “Until It Sleeps” was performed in Chicago. It was last played here on February 9, 1997, at Rosemont Horizon.
This was the first time that “Lux Æterna,” “Screaming Suicide,” and “Inamorata” were played in Chicago.
This was the first time in 15 years that “The Day That Never Comes” & “Fight Fire With Fire” were played in Chicago. They were last performed here at Allstate Arena on January 27, 2009.
This was the first time in nearly 41 years that “The Call of Ktulu was played in Chicago. It was last performed here on December 15, 1983, at the Broadway Jack’s under the title “When Hell Freezes Over.”
This was the first time in 20 years that “Blackened” was performed in Massachusetts. It was last played in the state on October 24, 2004 in Boston.
