The last time Metallica performed in Chicago was at Lollapalooza on July 28, 2022.
This was the first of two shows during Metallica’s No Repeat Weekend in Chicago.
This was the first time in 20 years that “Holier Than Thou” was performed in Chicago. It was last played here at Allstate Arena on August 28, 2004.
This was the first time in 9 years that “King Nothing” was played in Chicago. It was last performed here at Lollapalooza on August 1, 2015.
This was the first time that “72 Seasons,” “If Darkness Had a Son,” “Shadows Follow,” and “Orion” were performed in Chicago.
This was the first time “Blackened” had been performed in Chicago in 15 years. It was last performed here at Allstate Arena on January 26, 2009.
