Global Citizen Returns

September 24, 2021 Update: Starting at 2 PM ET/11 AM PT tomorrow, tune in for 24 hours of music as more than 60 artists perform from locations scattered around the world, coming together with Global Citizen to make a difference.

September 16, 2021 Update: We’ll be sharing two songs from next week’s Louder Than Life show in Louisville, KY. Global Citizen Live will be broadcast over 24 hours around the world on September 25 on Apple Music, Apple TV App, YouTube, and Twitter.

The event will also air on ABC, ABC News Live, iHeartRadio, Hulu, The Roku Channel, FX and Time in the United States, BBC in the United Kingdom, Caracol in Colombia, Channel 9 in Australia, Magenta TV in Germany, Mediacorp in Singapore, Multichoice in Africa, Multishow & Bis in Brazil, SABC in South Africa, Sky Uno & TV8 in Italy, TF1/TMC in France and TV Azteca in México, and more to come. Live concerts will take place in New York City, Paris, Los Angeles, London, Lagos, Rio De Janeiro, Sydney, and Mumbai.

We’re honored to support the work that our friends at Global Citizen do day-in and day-out to help to make the planet a better place. Some of you may recall that we were scheduled to perform in the fall of 2020 as part of the Possible Dream, a year-long campaign that was scheduled to culminate in a ten-hour live broadcast of performances in what would have been the largest broadcast cause event in history. Sadly, as we all know, the global pandemic caused the cancellation/postponement of many events, but we’re happy to report that Global Citizen is back one year later with an incredible event now scheduled for September 25, 2021.

The celebration, Global Citizen LIVE, is a 24-hour live broadcast with events and performances filmed across six continents along with live music and entertainment from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, North and South America. The broadcast will air on BBC, Fx, iHeartRadio, YouTube, Twitter, and more. While we are very disappointed that we cannot be there in person due to our commitments for shows in Louisville that weekend, we are excited to announce that we will still be there in spirit as we will be participating with a two-song performance recorded before the broadcast.

The 24-hour multi-nation event is part of an ongoing campaign to defend the planet and defeat poverty, powered by citizens around the world who are taking action and urging governments, corporations, and philanthropists to make change. Among the many artists who will be participating are Adam Lambert, Andrea Bocelli, BTS, Billie Eilish, Coldplay, Davido, Duran Duran, Ed Sheeran, Green Day, Lizzo, Lorde, The Lumineers, The Weeknd, Usher and more to be announced in coming weeks.

Additional locations and location-specific details will be announced in August, so stay tuned here and for more information about Global Citizen LIVE, visit GlobalCitizen.org.
