Hit The Stage – Vote For The Opening Bands
We were hanging at HQ getting ready to hit the road for the first dates on the WorldWired tour and had this crazy idea... how about you guys pick the opening acts for the October/November leg?!? It seems like a cool way to celebrate the return to some of our favorite places and we’ll get to check out what’s going on musically in your town. So with the help of our local promoter friends, you can be a part of shaping the show each night!
Here’s how it works: In four of the cities we’re playing on the upcoming Latin American tour, local bands can submit music, YouTube links, etc. to our partners who help make the shows happen each night. Visit the links below before October 21st at 10:00 PM local time and upload your video(s). You must be residents of Puerto Rico, Colombia, Guatemala, or Costa Rica, currently active and playing on a regular basis and, of course, are available on show day.
A panel of local music industry professionals will choose five finalists for posting on Metallica.com and fans worldwide will have the final say by voting. Come on back here to cast your vote starting October 22nd with the winners revealed on October 25th (Puerto Rico show voting will open earlier and close on October 24th).
