Public Transit Information

Metro operates a light rail service to Pasadena via the Metro Gold Line. If you would like to take the Metro Gold Line to the show, exit the train at Memorial Park Station in Pasadena. Follow the signs for two blocks to the Rose Bowl Shuttle pick-up location at Parsons. This shuttle will take you directly to the Rose Bowl Stadium. Metrolink trains arrive into Union Station, where passengers must transfer to the Gold Line to get to the Rose Bowl Stadium.  Visit for schedule information or call (800) 371-5465.

Rose Bowl will operate a public shuttle. Information includes:
Parsons Parking Lot & Shuttle
Parking is also available at the Parsons complex parking lot in Pasadena. Access to parking is off of Fair Oaks Avenue in Pasadena, CA. From this area a round trip shuttle service is available to the Rose Bowl Stadium’s Lot B. Shuttle service to the stadium begins three (3) hours prior to the start of the event. The shuttle service runs continuously until about one hour after the end of the event.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Please do not use the address of Parsons to drive to the location as the address is on Walnut Avenue and there is no access to parking lot from the Walnut Avenue side of the complex. Please use Fair Oaks Avenue to access the Parsons parking lot.

Parking Lot Policies:

  • Overnight parking is prohibited in all Lots.
  • Parking lots close 90 minutes following the conclusion of the event.
  • Parking is first-come, first-served. No saving of parking spaces is permitted.
  • In and out privileges are not allowed.

Line-up can begin when parking lots open at 2:00 pm. The line-up entrance gate will be Gate E only for GA Floor.

The box office opens at 3:00 pm on day of show.

Kids under 2 are free. All others need a full price ticket.


Is the NFL Clear Bag Policy in effect?

Yes. See image below for approved bags. We encourage fans to conform to the policy prior to arriving at the Rose Bowl Stadium.

  • Clutch with Shoulder Strap (clutch may not be larger than 4.5" X 6.5")

What is prohibited from coming into the venue?

There are no in-and-out privileges at the Rose Bowl Stadium. Once you exit the stadium, you may not re-enter.  The following items are not permitted into the stadium:

  • Animals
  • Bags that violate the Bag Policy (See Bag Policy)
  • Balls, toys or sports equipment
  • Banners, signs, flags, poles or sticks
  • Beverage containers larger than 17 oz. (Factory sealed plastic bottles of water, 17 oz. or less, are allowed; limit 2 per person)
  • Boxes or wrapped packages  
  • Cans, glass bottles or alcoholic beverages
  • Coolers
  • Drones
  • Glass, metal or hard plastic containers
  • Helium balloons
  • Laser pointers
  • Noisemakers including thunder sticks, musical instruments, whistles, air horns and boom boxes
  • Skates, skateboards, hoverboards, scooters or bicycles
  • Umbrellas
  • Unauthorized cameras with lenses longer than 3.5 inches, interchangeable or telephoto lenses
  • Unauthorized video cameras, monopods, tripods or selfie sticks
  • Unsliced fruits or vegetables
  • Weapons or projectiles

Note: Strollers are welcome but not allowed to be stored in an aisle or under a seat. Strollers may be checked in at the following Guest Services Location - Tunnel 18 or at the Checked Items Tent located at Gate C. 


Unauthorized cameras with lenses longer than 3.5 inches, interchangeable or telephoto lenses and unauthorized video cameras, monopods, tripods or selfie sticks will not be allowed into the stadium

If I bring something that is not allowed, is there somewhere to store it other than an automobile?

Check in booths will be located outside of Gate A, Gate C, and Gate F.

4:30 pm

How many gates are there, what are they called, and where are they located?

There are 8 entrance gates; Gate A, B, C, D, E, F, G & North. See diagram below.

Is there a separate entrance for GA tickets?

Yes - GA ticket holders must use Gate E.

Are there special entry gates or other services for disabled guests?

All gates have entry gates for disabled guests.


Will there be food and beverages for sale at the venue?


Will beer and/or other alcohol be sold? Is there a cut-off time?

Yes. Cut-off time is roughly 10:15 pm but subject to change based on the discretion of the venue.

Is tailgating allowed?

Yes tailgating will be allowed. Click here for the Tailgating Guidelines.


Will official Metallica and show merchandise be sold at the event?

Yes – outside in the Fan Festival area on Lot H as well as locations within the stadium TBD.
