This was the first show in Canada on the M72 World Tour.
This was the band’s 16th show in Montreal. They first played here on January 15, 1985 at the Spectrum.
Metallica last played Stade Olympique on August 8, 1992 — the day of James’ on-stage BBQ party.
The band’s last visit to Montreal was six years ago on July 19, 2017 at Parc Jean Drapeau.
This was the first time in 14 years that “Harvester of Sorrow” and “The Day That Never Comes” were performed in Montreal. It was last played here on September 20, 2009.
This was the first time in nearly 19 years that “Leper Messiah” and “Fuel” were played in Montreal. They were last performed here on October 4, 2004.
