This was the first time that Metallica performed a full show together since the S&M2 gigs back in September 2019.
Aside from the road crew and a small number of people from within the Metallica COVID bubble, the boys performed for the crickets and other assorted insects at the Gundlach Bundschu winery.
This was the first time that Metallica performed in Sonoma.
After filming, the show was edited together at HQ by Gene McAuliffe and his crew while the audio was mixed in LA by Greg Fidelman and his team.
This gig was beamed out to over 300 drive-in movie theatres across North America.
