Metallica releases Record Store Day exclusive Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité Metallica! – Live at Le Bataclan. Paris, France – June 11, 2003. All profits go directly to the victims of the Parisian attacks, specifically those at Le Bataclan on November 13, 2015, through Fondation de France’s Give For France.

Metallica Plays Rasputin Music in Berkeley, CA for Record Store Day

The guys celebrate Record Store Day as the official ambassadors by playing a live show at legendary Berkeley, CA mainstay Rasputin Music. The set includes songs from Kill ‘Em All and Ride the Lightning in honor of the reissues released the day before as well as a cover of “Helpless.”

Metallica tells the world, “It really does exist!” as Lars announces the release date of Hardwired…To Self-Destruct and debuts the first track, “Hardwired,” live on Minneapolis radio station 93X. The band further surprises fans by simultaneously releasing the “Hardwired” music video on Metallica.com.

Metallica Plays Webster Hall in New York, NY

Metallica plays a Fifth Member only show at the legendary Webster Hall in New York. Featuring the first live performance of “Moth Into Flame,” this is the first in a series of five benefit shows throughout the remainder of 2016. The proceeds from the show go to New York food bank City Harvest.
