Lemmy Documentary Released

Metallica is featured throughout the documentary with both interview and performance footage. They are also heavily featured in the DVD Extras which include full rehearsals and performances of Damage Case and Too Late Too Late from a 2009 tour stop in Nashville, TN. Also included is a look back to the night they all dressed up as Lemmy to perform a short Motörhead-filled set as The Lemmy's to celebrate the man's 50th birthday.

Metallica Celebrates its 30th Anniversary

Between December 5th and December 10th, Metallica played four shows at The Fillmore in San Francisco celebrating the band's 30 year history. Many guests joined the band on stage, ranging from lucky fans and former band members to Glenn Danzig, members of Mercyful Fate, and Ozzy Osbourne, and many others.

Metallica Day Declared in San Francisco

San Francisco mayor Ed Lee declares December 9th to be Metallica Day as part of the band's 30th Anniversary shows. It's official: Metallica has two holidays in one city!

Beyond Magnetic Released

Four previously unreleased tracks from the Death Magnetic sessions released to coincide with the bands 30th Anniversary shows at the Fillmore in San Francisco. An iTunes only release (Met Club members were sent the songs for free immediately following their live debut on stage at the Fillmore), these songs are the rough mixes.
