Forbes: Metallica Makes History On The Billboard Albums Chart With Their Unstoppable Self-Titled
This week, the hard rock outfit’s self-titled full-length dips two spaces on the Billboard 200, falling just outside the top 100 and landing at No. 101. But, simply by finding space on the albums chart once more, the title has managed a feat that very, very few efforts in U.S. history have come even close to approaching.
Metallica has now spent an incredible 600 weeks on the Billboard 200, the ranking of the most-consumed full-lengths in the U.S. every week. The title is just the fourth release in American history to make it to that mark, and it joins a club that includes some of the bestselling and most beloved collections of all time.
