While there’ve been many songs written about the consequences of seeking fame and fortune, the moth analogy is comical — moths are simple creatures that are attracted to light. Ultimately the track is mocking how modern society views stardom, all in Metallica’s signature roaring fashion, making it one of the album’s absolute creative highlights. —LS
