ABC 15: Metallica frontman's COVID-19 project helps Clackamas Community College students
The lead singer and guitarist of Metallica is putting his skills as a handyman to good use for students in Oregon. James Hetfield recently built some coffee tables that were auctioned off online for $75,000. Hetfield is donating the money to welding programs at three community colleges. One of those schools is Clackamas Community College. Students taking 'heavy metals' courses in manufacturing, automotive, and welding will benefit from the money.
