Robert is getting a couple old friends together to bring back the old MASS MENTAL project from the late 90s for two shows. They're playing a warm-up gig at the Whisky a Go-Go on Tuesday, August 26 and will then appear at the Bass Camp during Warwick Open Day 2014 on September 6 in Markneukirchen, Germany.

He gave us a peak into his personal world, describing how the death of his parents from cancer inspired the touching Metallica number "Until It Sleeps."

Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo will be celebrating Record Store Day at Sound Garden this Saturday. From 4-6 pm, Trujillo will meet fans, sign records, and talk about the upcoming documentary he's producing about his musical hero, Jaco Pastorius.
James Hetfield will be joining Sammy Hagar and a number of other special guests including Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day), Scott Mathews, Pat Monahan (Train), Joe Satriani and Nancy Wilson (Heart) for the "Acoustic 4 a Cure" benefit for the pediatric cancer program at the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital at the Fillmore in San Francisco on Thursday, May 15.
