One minute past midnight on October 30, 2012, Brazilian rock fans can guarantee their presence in advance for the world’s biggest music and entertainment festival. This is the date for the start of sales of the Rock in Rio Card, the equivalent of a ticket in advance, through which people can guarantee their entrance to the event prior to confirmation of bands and attractions.
Tickets will be sold through the festival’s official site (www.rockinrio.com.br), via Ingresso.com. For the 2013 edition of Rock in Rio, tickets will range from BRL 260 (full price) to BRL 130 (half price). And, as with the 2011 edition, when the card was sold for the first time in Brazil, fans that acquire the product are able to choose the date they intend to use it prior to the official sale of tickets is opened to the general public – the choice can be made from February 1 to April 1, 2013. Being a special sale, the purchase limit is up to four tickets per client, with one half-price ticket per CPF (Individual Taxpayer Register) number.
Customers buying a half-price ticket will have to send a copy of proof to ensure the discount via the site, prior to choosing the day. It will also be necessary to present proof on the day of the festival in order to enter the City of Rock Olympic Park.
Payment can be made via credit card (VISA, Mastercard, Diners, Aura or American Express) and the amount can be paid in up to four installments. Entrance to Rock in Rio permits access to all the City of Rock areas and attractions.
The Rock in Rio Card will arrive by mail in a personalized box at the address stated at the time of purchase.
Rock in Rio already has a set date and will take place on September 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21 and 22, in the City of Rock (Parque Olímpico Cidade do Rock Av. Salvador Allende, s/n).
