Don't miss a special appearance and performance by James on the CMT Outlaws concert special, premiering on Friday October 29th at 9PM. Please check local listings for exact channel and times for CMT.
"Please welcome James Hetfield of Metallica", they announced when James hit the stage at the CMT (Country Music Television) Outlaws Concert on Sept 7th at the Gaylord Center in Nashville, TN. James performed Waylon Jennings' "Don't You Think This Outlaw Bit's Done Gone Out Of Hand" together with the house band of the day, and not to forget Bob Rock on bass! Jessie Colter, widow of Waylon Jennings hit the stage right after to perform Mama Said together with James.

The crowd definitely woke up when James' loud crunchy guitar sound blasted through the speakers, It was definitely something different compared to what they heard up until then. Anyone that previously heard the original version of "Don't You Think This Outlaw Bit's Done Gone Out Of Hand" was in for a surprise, what was performed, was a metal version of Waylon's song.

At the end of the show James joined in the all-sing with Hank, Jr. and the rest of the performers for "All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight" and "Family Tradition". Other guests on the show included Big & Rich, Montgomery Gentry, Gretchen Wilson, Tanya Tucker, Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Hank Williams Jr.

"This was something really unique and different, I really had a good time", said James after the show. Do not miss the broadcast of this once-in-a-lifetime event scheduled to air on October 29th. Stay tuned for more details.
