To celebrate the release of the limited edition box set, we have a few cool "extras" for you.
On the Extras page of Metallica.com, we have buddy icons and wallpapers that are centered around the early career of Metallica, which the box set represents.
Finally, a little bit of bad news. Due to manufacturing delays, the release of the vinyl box set has been postponed until November 23. However, if you are a Fan Club member and ordered through the Met Club website, your order will begin shipping to you the week of November 15th!!
A new, limited edition vinyl box set will be available on October 26th November 23, including the first four albums, Kill 'Em All, Ride The Lightning, Master Of Puppets, and ...And Justice For All. PLUS the legendary $5.98 Garage Days Re-Revisited EP, and the Creeping Death picture disc, which was previously only available in Europe!
Each of the four albums have been expanded to 2 LPs with new gatefold jackets. With the exception of the picture disc, all albums have been pressed on 180-gram HQ heavy vinyl, with lacquers cut at Sterling Sound by George Marino.
The box set will be released in North America only and will be limited to 5,000 copies, with each set numbered. Suggested Retail price is $99.98.
