A big thanks to all the Met Club and Mission Metallica members who snatched up all the available tickets to the "Death Magnetic" release parties in Berlin and London. At this point, both events are officially sold out, but as you astute concert goers all know, frequently tickets known as "production holds" do become available closer to the show and if that happens, we will be the first to let you know.
Thanks again and remember . . . all ticket proceeds go to great causes.
The release of "Death Magnetic" is just around the corner and as we told you, we have not one, but two celebrations with our friends in the Fan Club and Mission Metallica planned for September 12 in Berlin, Germany, and September 15 in London, England. Time for more details!
As we told you last week, the 02 World in Berlin and 02 in London will be the sites of the two events. Tickets will only be available to registered Premier Met Club and Mission Metallica members through special sales for each group. The Fan Club sale begins on Monday, September 1 at 9:00 AM local time (that's 9AM for Berlin and 9AM for London). Mission: Metallica Platinum members will be able to purchase tickets starting on Tuesday, September 2, also at 9:00 AM local time. Finally, those of you registered for the free portion of Mission may purchase tickets starting on Wednesday, September 3 at 9:00 AM should tickets still be available. During the pre-sale, you will have the option to purchase general admission (floor) or reserved seating tickets.
You must have an individual code to purchase tickets and you may obtain those codes by visiting your profile page on the respective sites. Please note that passcodes are not transferable and are only good for the person they were issued to. Your personal ticket code may be used to purchase tickets for both shows, however you may not purchase more than two tickets per person per show.
Tickets will only be available for sale online and each event will have a slightly different ticketing system as we want to make sure that only Met Club and Mission Metallica members actually attend these special celebrations. For the show in Berlin, the ticketing service will be using Ticketdirect allowing you to print your tickets at home. You will not have to go to the box office to pick them up on the day of the show as previously announced, but you WILL need your photo identification or credit card to enter the building with your printed ticket that will have your name on it. Your photo identification (such as a passport or driver's license) must match up to the name printed on the ticket, so therefore if you purchase two tickets, your friend/partner/pal must be with you at the time of entry.
In London, we will be using a paperless ticketing system. Again, the good news is that you don't need to go to the box office to pick up your tickets. However, you MUST bring the credit card used to purchase the tickets with you in order to enter the arena, and your guest must be with you at the time of entry. Your credit card will be swiped at the door to verify that you purchased tickets and allow you to enter the building.
Because this is a celebration, tickets prices are only ten Euros for Berlin, five pounds in London! All the ticket proceeds from the Berlin show will be donated to The Deutsche Herzzentrum Berlin (DHZB) medical centers for heart treatment, more specifically for "Ein Herz fur Kinder" (a heart fo
