NME: Metallica to launch their own pinball machine

Metallica have unveiled their own pinball machine.
According to Metal Hammer, the games machine was designed by Stern Pinball Inc and play will play stack of the metallers classic tracks including "Creeping Death", "For Whom The Bell Tolls", "Master Of Puppets", "Fuel", "Battery", "Sad But True", "Enter Sandman" and others.
Singer and guitarist James Hetfield has revealed a sneak preview of the machine in a video which you can watch below. The machine is likely to make an appearance at the band's second annual music festival this summer - Orion Music + More - which will take place in Detroit on June 8 and 9.

Listening to a Metallica song can often feel like you're a giant ball bounding around against the bumpers in a pinball game, so it makes sense that the band would take the next logical step and put their brand on an actual pinball game.
Metallica have revealed a new trailer trailer (seen below) that showcases some of the crafting that's gone into creating their upcoming "Metallica Pinball" game. Not only do audiences get some teaser footage of the band playing beforehand, but the trailer also shows some of the sketches and electronic diagrams, the creation of familiar Metallica symbols and the fine tuning that is going into making a game that truly rocks.

Metallica's upcoming Belle Isle festival continues to grow - and take on a distinctive Detroit flair.
Producers with Orion Music + More have added several names to the two-day, 30-act lineup initially unveiled in February: Reunited bands Infectious Grooves and Rocket From the Crypt lead a list of additions that also includes Vista Chino and Dead Sara, along with Detroit DJs Matt Clarke and Calico.

Though the release date on Metallica's forthcoming album is still undecided, the band are already starting to gee us up by drip-feeding sneaky little updates, the latest of which shows that the band will be mixing things up on the album after James Hetfield promised fans a "diverse collection of songs" on the next record.

We're starting to learn more about "Metallica Through the Never," their long-awaited concert movie. In a new interview, the video of which is embedded below, one of the film's stars says that the film combines music and drama in what he calls "a concert movie meets [Pink Floyd's] "The Wall" meets Metallica."

The previous event area at Sydney's Olympic Park was large - incorporating the same stages used by the Big Day Out - but this year the borders swelled to include ANZ Stadium.
