Another beautiful summer day here in San Diego, and a great day from some Metallica! The crew loaded into the now "not so secret" local theater yesterday and set up the gear. The boys will be attending Comic-Con later this afternoon for their panel for the movie. Then it's off to this "secret" theater for a special invite only show later on this evening. Some pics are up from yesterday.... more to come!

Video from Roskilde clocks in at just over 28 mins, so be sure to have a healthy snack and nice cold drink! Highlights include Rob and James in the meet and greet, the band get together in the Tuning Room for a little jam, Lars and Kirk in the meet and greet, then the real Tuning Room, pre-show huddle, and Blackened from the show. Enjoy!

Last time Metallica played Roskilde was 2003. Ten long years, and the band returned and kicked it's ass!! The "or" song ended up being Fuel, with Creep and Seek ending the night. Full setlist is up, pics to come...

Roskilde = LOUD! Crowd was even singing the AC/DC song that's on the intro tape! Set started with a little Blackened and then moved on to Bellz, Disposable, Harvie, and now Day. Carpe Diem is next and looking ahead i see the word "or." Looks like they still don't know what song to play!

This year's European vacation is a quickie, just one show. And it's in the home of our favorite drummer! Clean up crews have been working the gorunds today after Volbeat played in the wee hours of the morning. Metallica is playing the famous Orange stage today, along with Kris Kristofferson, and The National. Early pics are up....

Like we've already said, we're not done yet! The latest video to come out of Orion Music + More is a clip highlighting Robert's crazy weekend of playing not just one... not just two... not just three... but FOUR live sets! There's more footage from dehaan (Anesthesia & Whiplash), a funky cut from Infectious Grooves (Monster Skank), the skate thrash of the Trujillo Trio (Follow the Blood Trail) and, of course, the Mighty Metallica (Orion).
We're waiting on some more footage to be dumped in our lap, so it might be a few days until the next video, but we still plan on bringing you clips from the Car Show, the Crypt, and Hit the Lights Films... and, if you're nice, a couple more clips from the headlining Metallica show.

We're still sifting through all of the footage shot over the course of Orion weekend but we're ready to share a 'Tallica-centric video from Day 2. We've got James in the Meet & Greet with the t-shirt collector who won the Orion Flyaway contest. We've also got Lars meeting Oliver, a young man from Kent, UK who's wish to meet Metallica was granted. Next up is "I Disappear" in the Tuning Room followed by a pair of songs from the show. First up is the second performance ever of "Carpe Diem Baby" followed by the first performance of "The Day That Never Comes" in almost two years.
Keep an eye on the site for more videos as we start putting together clips from everyone's lifestyle events.

We're going to do things a little different this year. Instead of putting together one long video featuring all that there is about this year's Orion Music + More, we're going to break it up into shorter segments. For example, we'll have one video on the Crypt, one on Hit the Lights Films, etc.
Up first is probably the one you're most excited about... DEHAAN! We've got Jump from Tuning as well as Lites and Phantom from the show.

A slew of Orion photos from Ross Halfin have been posted in a separate gallery in the Tour Photos section.

After a long night/morning of load out and a flight clear across the country, photos from yesterday have finally been posted. More photos will be posted throughout the week as they come in from Ross Halfin and C3.
I know what you're thinking... when are we going to see video? To be honest, it's going to take some time. We shot a ton of footage over the weekend that needs to be sifted through and, of course, we'll be waiting for the Live Metallica mixes to lay in for the audio tracks. Hopefully we got enough footage to show you what you missed... or to relive your weekend!
