Metallica are four songs into their last set in South Africa for this Escape tour. (Blackened, Fuel, Harvie, and Sanitarium) Interesting note, during Harvie, the power went out on the right hand side of the stage, and it took a few minutes for it to come back on. Lars got on the mic and said "Where's Jim Breuer when you need him!"

Flat Stanley opened today's festival to a big cheer from the already crowded stadium. Also, there is a pic of Butch's permanent souvenir from South Africa!

Crew was at the Green Point Stadium last night loading in and setting up. Check out the pics. We are about to head over to the stadium for the last show on this Escape to South Africa tour!

Band and crew had a wonderful dinner last night at a local restaurant in Cape Town. (pics are up) Did everyone see the new date added? Just when you think no more dates will be added to the tour, up comes one more. We will see you guys in Seoul on Aug 15th! But first, we have one more show to do here in South Africa.

Here I Go now, Here I go into Durban!! Metallica hit the stage, just as the rain started to come down. By the time Rob was fingering for Bellz, the rain had stopped. (I guess he scared the clouds away.) So far, we have Creep, Fuel, Harvie, Sani, Bellz, StAnger (the song, not the city), King, and now Disappear. Hectic afternoon with Meet and Greet, band interviews, and a very humid tuning room session. More to come!

A very hot and humid day in Durban. Pics are up from this morning's walkabout the venue. Prime Circle just hit the stage.

Just arrived at the ABSA Stadium, and things are shaping up nicely. Crew was here last night setting up the Metallica set. Lots of fans already outside. Looks like it's going to be another rocking night!
