"OK How the Hell did Hamilton get such a good set?!?!", wrote "MetallicaGuy1085" on the message board a few minutes after tonight's setlist was posted. Hell, I agree, it was a pretty awesome setlist. Memory Remains, Thingy, The Unforgiven, Holier, Whiskey!, Fight, Bellz and Dyers Eve, just to name a few. The good news is that this one will be available on LiveMetallica within the next few days. Today was one of those days where I asked myself, where did all the time go? I hardly remember this day, but when I check out the photos, it is all very clear...Today was a fun day. The meet & greet was a really good one, not only did the fans seem to enjoy themselves, but the band was in top form too. Tons of jokes being thrown around. "Hey man, look at this killer photo from Tahiti", said Rob with a big smile. A fan took a photo when he was on vacation in Tahiti, and in the photo he is holding up the FanClub magazine with Rob on the cover. Tahiti is one of Rob's favorite places to surf in the world. Another fun thing, that could have turned not so fun, happened in the meet & greet. This girl won a radio contest to interview Rob, and then also get a chance to say hi to the other guys. Well, she was stuck in the interview room for a long time and ended up missing out on meeting James and Kirk. She started to cry and said "This is my dream and I will never ever get a chance to meet them again". When our buddy Lars heard about this he said "Make sure she is taken care of, OK"! Said and done, before she left for the night, she got to collect her prize - Meet all four band members!A funny thing happened before For Whom the Bell Tolls. Lars grabbed Rob's bass, and started playing. Rob took the sticks and started banging on the drums. I have never seen that lineup before, good one! Just one more show, before a quick break. We are going to London, and no, not London, England, but London, ON. Speak soon...MOT

Hope you had a nice day off from your daily dose of MetOnTour. Wake up then, it is time for another video, I mean, another two videos. Lots of fun backstage and onstage in Ottawa. Figuring out lyrics, hanging with Godsmack right before they go on stage, The Prince rehearsal and then to finish it off with Harvester Of Sorrow. The other video is from the show in Albany, NY where we could unfortunately not show you any live footage, BUT you will get a long and exclusive backstage jam of The Outlaw Torn.

Lets recap the last few hours here, the keywords are Aerosmith, Sully But True and Setlist changes...Aerosmith: Not only did we have family and friends of the local heroes Godsmack backstage, but also Tom Hamilton, bass player from another local rockband Aerosmith paid a visit. "My name is Robert Trujillo, it is an honor to meet you", said Robert when he hooked up with the legendary bass player. Tom was really a mega cool dude, and he made sure to introduce his son, that looked very excited to be at the Metallica show. Lars, James and Kirk of course wanted to check in with Tom too. Sully But True:Come on, it is your hometown, of course you have to take your chance. Sully made another guest appearance during Sad But True. I must say, that he nailed this one. "That was fucking amazing", said Sully a few minutes after walking off stage. You know what, I agree, that was pretty fucking cool!Setlist Changes:I think I saw at least 3 different versions of the setlist tonight, and you want to know the really funny thing about that? They did not even play the same songs that were on the final version. Disposable Heroes, was according to the setlist the song before last, but then we hear SO WHAT. And when it all comes down to it, So Fucking What!We are leaving Boston, the crew has a 500 mile ride to Hamilton, Canada. Hopefully the border people will be nice to us. I will speak to you tomorrow, and I will have some new vids for ya...MOT

What can we expect from our boys tonight, we are still in Boston and have a second show coming up in a few hours. When I was in the tuning room yesterday, the guys were talking about which songs to do which nights, and I think no one will be disappointed. I am sure they will throw a couple of last minute suggestions in there too. Only time will tell. Today we have no press backstage, but of course the FanClub members will get their chance to say hi. Also, I want to let you know that unfortunately we will not see/hear any of the Boston shows on LiveMetallica, we will focus more on the backstage fun in those videos.

Sully But True! Once again, we had Sully from Godsmack join us for Sad But True. Boston being his hometown, he got a great welcoming when he walked on stage. We might have had some confusion during that song, but hey, it is all about having some fucking fun, ok! BIG SMILES :) According to James, The Memory did not fully remain, maybe some lost lyrics here and there, but the crowd helped him out :) I must admit that when you have seats in the front row, somehow the energy is just not there. You need to have people share the same sweat! Surprise of the night? Sad But True with Sully, and also Jump In The Fire. Boston had a good day, the Patriots won, the Red Sox won, and Metallica kicked their ass and they are coming back for some more tomorrow.

So there we had Jeff, a guy in his twenties, never ever played guitar in his life. He is also a huge Metallica fan, so what would be more appropriate than having Kirk as his guitar teacher. Jeff got about 30 minutes time with Kirk, and after walking out he knew how to play the beginning of Nothing Else Matters plus some other super mega power metal chords. Good teacher Kirk, and great student Jeff. Jeff won the grand prize for the local radio station. On my way to the tuning room, wonder what songs they will rehearse for tonight.

There is something very special about the Fleet Center show here in Boston. Tonights show will be one of the few shows on this tour where they have chairs on the floor, should be very interesting. According to our venue security guy Mike, there are no more GA shows at this venue after the Great White tragic in Rhode Island. Boston is also Godsmacks hometown, so there are many friends & family of those guys around.

It's all about the Boston Red Sox! Boston is in a frenzy, everywhere you go people are talking about The Boston Red Sox playing in the world series. Tonights show is sold out, if nobody shows up, we know why. Cold and cloudy day in Boston, might even be the coldest day on the tour so far. The Fleet Center is located right downtown and I think inside the sun will shine. Today is the first show out of two and I think we will have some contest winners from the local radio station, that might get to get some special attention from the band. I keep you in the loop on that one. Anything else to report, you betcha...Just uploaded two new videos, Montreal and Toronto. Backstage the second night in Montreal it was all about interviews, and also some Alcoholica! We had radio stations from all over the place come in and ask our boys the good & bad & ugly questions. We got it covered for you. Unfortunately Montreal was one of those places where we were not able to stream any live footage for you, more behind the scenes crap for you! In Toronto it was more about the live stuff, and the band played The Unforgiven, the second time in North America since February 21, 1993, a rare one. Enjoy..and more to come soon..MOT

Happy 40th Birthday Robert Trujillo! At 12:03am they got him GOOD. "Hey Rob, you need to walk over there to meet up with these guys, they really want to meet you", sure said Rob. 30 seconds later he walks in to the PIE WAR, bombarded from left to right, up til down. Kirk was soo into it, that he had to go and shower himself. The madness is over here in New Jersey! I think we had more people backstage, than out in the crowd. When the band started Seek And Destroy, Lars did not only have one son helping out, but both of them, Myles and Layne Ulrich, what a sight...Elvis, I mean, Metallica left the building...Speak soon fockers...MOT

..and crazy for all. The night continues here in East Rutherford and I am backstage at the Continental Airline Arena. We have The Ulrich's & The Hetfields present, and they are all full force. What I am talking about are all the young ones, and the older ones too (Torben!). Big 'ol party here. Setlist wise, we have got some Memory Remains, Roam, King Nothing, The God That Failed, Disposable Heroes. A couple of Big Bangs, we are right now at the beginning of ONE. Any birthdays tomorrow? A big 40 maybe? anyone...HELLO
