We all know how long the band has been around, for over 20 years, but you know what, some of the crew guys have been around almost that long too! Today was the 20th anniversary for Metallica's legendary sound man BIG MICK! Happy anniversary Mick. Exactly 20 years ago, on Nov 16th, 1984 he mixed his first show with the band, in Rusen, France. The band made a nice poster for Mick, and of course a nice cake, with BACON on it!We had more cake today too, today was Lee, our production homo, 23rd birthday (he looks older though), Happy Birthday!

Houston must have a lot of love for Metallica. The band has been here pretty much every year since 1985, ok, we missed a few years here and there. Tonight will be the 12th time for the band, and we are at the Toyota Center. I know there will be some good stuff coming up tonight, a pretty special day actually, but I tell you all about it later...MOT

Let's forward another 2 hours plus, the show is done here in New Orleans, and who better to review the show than old friend Pep, that was hanging out with Het, that was hanging out with...on with the show. "It was pretty bad ass, and I must say that Robert is a bad motherfucker, a monster on bass", said Pepper right after the show. Nuff said?During the FanClub meet & greet the band got a few setlist requests, and most of them made it on there. Harvester Of Sorrow, The Unforgiven and Fade To Black were a few of them that I heard. Then when the band was in the dressing room a few minutes before the show, The God That Failed was put on there. Who the fuck said 7 to go??

Let's forward another 10 hours or so, and we are in New Orleans. Backstage we have tons of friends of the boys, and for the first time on this tour, Kirk has is own surf VIP room...WOW! A familiar face from the past & the present is here, Pepper Keenan, singer & guitar player from Corrosion of Conformity. He told me they are working on some new material, and that it is heavy with some kick ass riffs. Kirk signed up for another guitar teacher job, and tonights student learned a lot and got his moneys worth. Photos on the way, and more updates to come.

Wam Bam, thank you mam! We are done here in Atlanta and on our way to New Orleans. The sold out show here at the Gwinett Center finished about one hour ago, and I don't want to kiss too much ass, but it was a pretty good show tonight. Metallica delivered a powerful set consisting of, to name a few, The Memory Remains, Wherever I May Roam, Dirty Window, The Unforgiven, Leper Messiah and The Wait. The vibe between the guys are really great right now and earlier before the show in the Tuning Room, the guys were messing with eachother, in a good way of course. Who the fuck said 8 to go??

Another two videos coming your way, these too are pretty damn cool. We go back to the second Philly show, and also the one in New Jersey. Break The Chair, the youngest Metallica tribute band, got to play Seek And Destroy with the boys. Lots of interviews both with Band and their crew. Lars was putting the makeup on Gene Simmons in the meet & greet??? For the first time ever, we had Mr Castor Hetfield on drums, Papa Het on guitar, Kirk on guitar and Rob on Bass. A must see!!

Yes, I know this is the Madly In Anger With The World Tour and not the And Justice For All tour. BUT this is your chance to ask questions to a legend within the Metallica camp, a person that is a huge part of Metallica history. Please welcome TONY SMITH, Metallica Tour Manager for many years. This English geezer was hired before the start of the And Justice For All tour, he has done everything from personal assistant, assistant tour manager, tour manager, you name it and he has done it. He was also responsable for starting the official fanclub in 1993, and also the person that made sure the MetOnTour website did not stay a dream, but a reality. He left the camp in 2000 to spend time with his family.
Tony has done very few interviews through out the years, so I was extremly happy when he said he was up for answering a few questions. Start posting you questions on the message board in the official topic, you only have another 5 hours, the cut off time is 6PM EST today, November 13th!

Alright, lets sum up tonights show in Nashville at the Gaylord Center.. strong 8+ maybe? The crowd got a 8, then the band got a plus, and the setlist got a strong ? Judge for yourself, the setlist is posted, pics are up, and more to come.
Nashville did get a few surprises, The Call Of Ktulu was nice to hear again, we all know the lyrics to that one! To top it all off, how about the return of another classic - BREADFAN! Last time they performed that one, was actually in Iceland, on July 4th. I hear some buzzing going on backstage, and I think & hope the surprises will continue...What do YOU think?

..and (no, not and justice for all) for the second time in 100 years or so, according to James that is, the band performed the full version of The Call Of Ktulu. We are 3/4 in to the show here in Nashville, but I think before the night is over, we might get another rare one...
