Sitting in the lobby of our hotel in London, trying to get some kewl pics up for you. We arrived around noon in London and met up with James & Kirk at Top Of The Pops studio for some rehearsals for tonight's recording. As far as I can "hear", it will be good fun. Right after rehearsals I left with James & Lars for a radio interview. Straight back to the hotel after that to meet up with Kerrang magazine. Kerrang brought some contest winners that got to interview the band. After the "interview" one of the winners gave Lars his cellphone and wondered if he could talk to his friend, that has been outside the hotel for hours just to get a glimpse of the guys. Not only did Lars talk to his buddy, he also invited him up to the room to hang out for a little bit. The guy, Clive, said "My friends are never going to believe me". "Well then we just have to put your face up on the website", replied Lars. That's right CLIVE, your buddies better believe you now! Check out the latest pic for proof :)

Leaving for London in a few minutes for some more fun. Forget to tell you all that yesterday Lars & Rob spent a few hours in the evening travelling around Copenhagen visiting Lars' old stomping grounds. Lars took him to the house where he was born, his tennis court and the first school he attended. Very interesting and like Rob said "very different to where I grew up".

The party is over, let the party begin. The listening party in Stockholm was great. James & Kirk hung out with a big part of the Swedish Metal Scene. We had members from Meshuggah, Entombed, Candlemass and more. A good time had, on my way to Copenhagen, to hook up with Lars & Rob.

Finished the first 10 interviews...10 more to go before heading over to "da partee" tonight. James & Kirk had a short lunchbreak, they both went sightseeing around the beautiful city of Stockholm. One of interviews Kirk did was with a radio station, the reporter was Ian Haughland, former drummer of the Swedish band Europe. Time to go back upstairs for some more fun.

Stockholm, Sweden....Home of Svenska Kottbullar, home of MetOnTour. Yes, this is the country I am from, Sweden. I moved from Sweden almost 3 years ago to Metallica HQ. We arrived yesterday night and James & Kirk were really blown away that it was still light outsite at 10:30pm. I was out with a couple of fellow Swedes and when we got home again, around 3 am, it was light again! Very weird if you are not used to it. Good to be back...for one day :)The day will start off at the hotel with interviews and then later this evening there will be a listening party. I catch up with you alll in a bit..gotta roll...MOT

First official promo day is over. The interviews started around 11:30, and we finished off with a "launch event" at the Cinestar Movie Theatre. The lucky fanclub members and other contest winners were the first to hear and see the new "bonus" DVD! The response was great! After the DVD was played, the band entered for an approx 30 minutes long Q&A from the crowd. Some good questions, and some "different" ones too. For the rest of the promo tour the band will divide into two teams, Lars & Rob and James & Kirk. I will travel with James & Kirk to Stockholm for some more press & a listening party with fans participating.

Right now the band is doing an interview at their hotel with German TV. The first show on the European Festival Tour is the Rock Im Park show on June 6th, the band had the following to say:- "The beginning of a tour is always exciting, it should be a lot of fun and I know I am looking forward to it" said Kirk. - "I think the most special thing is having Rob up there in one of his first REAL exposure to the public with Metallica. We did San Quentin, which was a "captive audience" (laughter) and the Club gig was mostly Fanclub members and contest winners. This is going to be the first time for Rob to really reach out and also for people to let Rob know how much they appreciate him being part of the family and cheer him on." was James' feeling on it all. What does it mean to be on a promo-tour with Metallica you ask? Basically going from room to room at a hotel, being asked the same questions over and over, and then jump on a plane to got to a different country, a different hotel and have the same questions asked, but with a different English accent. In all seriousness, I feel that it is a very good thing for the band to do a tour without necessary playing any shows. They get to spend a lot of time together and at nighttime go out and enjoy themselves. I believe we will have a "listening party" tonight, with fans attending and this could be very cool. I will give you guys the scoop later on...MOT
