James & Kirk left Madrid late last night to fly to Warsaw, Poland. Myself, I left around 5am this morning to join Lars & Rob in Milan, Italy. Sitting in my room at the hotel in Milan and FINALLY, a hotel that has broadband connection! I am looking at today's schedule and I think we have some crazy fun coming up. A few hours ago Lars & Rob went to a press conference for the Heineken Jammin' Festival around noon, due to miscommunication I could not attend. No worries, the rest of the day (AND night) will be covered....MOT

An interesting side note during some of these interviews here in Spain is the use of a translator. First the reporter asks a question in Spanish, and then the translator repeats the question in English. After that the band tells the answer to the translator, they then repeats to the reporter. After the first interview James said, with a smile, "You have to keep your answers short to make sure the translator remembers what the hell you were talking about". The day goes on....pix are up

James and Kirk are in Madrid, Spain, while Lars and Rob can be found in Paris, France. I am together with the James & Kirk team and we are just about to start the day here. Looks like a pretty full press schedule. Yesterday was the first day off on this euro-promo-tour. James & Kirk spent the day sightseeing and late last night they went to a Flamenco show. They were very impressed by the dance and when they left the place, they tried to copy the moves (without any success, but priceless to see).

What happened in 1985, 1987, 1991, 1995, and today June 1 2003? That's right...Metallica played at the legendary Donington Park in England. This time, they played on a little smaller stage than usual, and of course they did it classic 'Tallica style - don't tell anyone, just show up and play! Well, somehow of course the word got out and we did have a pretty good size crowd when they show started. As I was walking around the tent, I noticed people running towards the Scuzz tent trying to figure out who the hell this Metallica cover band was. It was great to hear people run up to their friends and scream - It is true, Metallica is fucking here! The guys played around an hour long set, setlist and pics to come shortly...MOT

Just finished the CDUK gig. It almost felt like a real gig again. The crowd at this show was very different compared to the Top Of The Pops show. Maybe it helped out that we had some loud Clubbers in there? The band were just stoked after they got off stage, not to mention sweaty as f*. You will have to wait a couple of days for the pics from this event. as I am in the middle of finishing up some stuff before St. Anger comes out (not metontour related). Tomorrow should be fun to, I will keep u guys posted...MOT

In about 6 hours Metallica will play in front of approx 400 people at the recording of the CDUK TV show. Looking at todays schedule, it is as always TIGHT. From one interview to another, a few meet and greets plus trying to get some rehearsal time in there too. The audience consists of MetClub members and other contest winners. At 1pm there are already a line outside. I believe they will start to let in people around 5:30 pm. More to come....MOT
